Sin embargo, el coeficiente de migración efectiva no considera los casos en que los migrantes se unen entre sí de manera preferencial, por lo que aún cuando integren los efectivos de la población, pueden generar algún grado de estructuración. El Coefi ciente <em>H </em>considera a las parejas en sus diferentes combinaciones (ambos del lugar, varón del lugar-mujer de afuera, varón de afuera-mujer del lugar, ambos de afuera) midiendo de esta manera el grado de panmixia entre la población local y la fracción migrante. Se calculó <em>H </em>en 11 poblaciones de la provincia de Salta (cinco de la Puna, tres del Valle Calchaquí y tres del Valle de Lerma), una de Tucumán y una de Catamarca. Los valores de <em>H </em>variaron entre -0,3464 (El Pichao, Tucumán) y 0,787 (Cobres, Salta). Valores negativos de <em>H </em>(El Pichao y Santa Rosa de los Pastos Grandes) indican la tendencia a favorecer uniones exogámicas. Cobres ostenta el mayor <em>H </em>mientras que El Barrial es la población más homogámica de las del Valle Calchaquí y La Isla de las del Valle de Lerma. Contrariamente a lo esperado, la Puna en su conjunto fue menos homogámica que el Valle de Lerma y que el Valle Calchaquí. </span></span></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" align="LEFT"> </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" align="LEFT"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;">ABSTRACT </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;">Effective migration is estimated in genetic demography from migrants in reproductive age, considering that their descendents are part of the population, in which the coefficient assortative mating is not considered. In the </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;"><em>H </em></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;">coefficient, different combinations of mates were considered (both born in the studied locality, one of them migrant, both migrants). </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;"><em>H </em></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;">was calculated in 11 populations from Salta, five of them are in the Puna, five in the Calchaqui Valley and three in the Lerma Valley, one from Tucumán and one from Catamarca. </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;"><em>H </em></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;">varied from -0,3464 (El Pichao-Valle Calchaquí, Tucumán) to 0,787 (Cobres-Puna, Salta). Negative </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;"><em>H </em></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman,serif;">values (El Pichao and Santa Rosa de los Pastos Grandes) indicated trends towards exogamic mating.
