Rev. Arg. For each trait, the effects of these factors were tested by calculating chi-squares from contingency tables. Sex differences occurred for one trait (mastoid foramen present), while two traits (infraorbital suture and lambdoid ossicle) showed age-dependence. Artificial cranial deformation evinced a significant effect on the occurrence of accessory infraorbital foramina. A low, though significant, influence is exerted upon non-metric variation by the factors here studied, allowing the assessment of bio-distances from the rest of the non-metric traits. Rev. Arg.
