Abstract

In this paper we present some of the results obtained so far in the framework of the research project “Psychologists in the public domain: Yesterday and Today” [1]. The purpose is to understand the links between knowledge taught in the career of Psychology, National University of La Plata (UNLP) practices undertaken by professionals in public areas and emerging demands in the Social Public Institutions in different historical moments. To analyze these relationships perform a process of historicizing the ways in which professional psychologists were integrated into public institutions, political and ideological field where bids on the professional profile and about the place of the title were developed. Investigate the practices and interventional devices that implement psychologists when they are working in the field of social policies allows us to contextualize and visualize the knotting between what psychologists received in the UNLP think or mean about professional practices; interventional devices that implement when inserted as professionals working in the field of social policies and social policies implemented by the provincial government.
