Abstract

In this case we expose part of the investigation made by the Lic. Ayelen Vieyra in her Integrator End Work of the Specialization in Evaluation and Diagnostic Psychological of the Faculty of Psychology of the University National of La Plata, directed by Dra. Norma Maglio. This study included 30 students (18 girls and 12 boys), with ages between 16 years 0 months and 16 years 11 months, of medium-low class, who went to public institutions of the North of the Province of Neuquén. Subjects with emotional and / or specific language disorders were excluded, based on the information provided by the teachers in charge of the courses and the reading of the student’s academic performance files. They were administered, in group way, the BAIRES-A test by Nuria Cortada de Cohan (1998) to provide information regarding verbal aptitude and comprehension in a context not studied in the reference samples, namely: northern region of Neuquén. We try to make a contribution to enrich the investigations regarding the value of the language.
