La violencia en la familia como problema en la psicología argentina: avances de investigación

Abstract

In this paper we report the advances of a research that aims to analyze the emergence of violence in the family as a problem in Argentine psychology. The research has followed a descriptive design, based on procedures of analysis of documents and oral sources, articulated to interpretative procedures for building categories. According to the theoretical- methodological guidelines of the critical history, the selection of sources has followed a broad criterion in order to reconstruct the singular contexts of production of different thematizations. The results are communicated in two main topics: in first place, we point the multiplicity of meanings about violence in the works that are analyzed. It is proposed to differentiate those works that address the topic of violence in a broad sense and those that address the issue of violence in the strict sense. In second place, within the latter group, there is a predominance of reception of theoretical models and North American categories on the issues of child abuse and battered women. These models were read from the convergence of referential frames of the psi field, which included differential elements in both subjet areas.
