Resumen

In this paper we present the design and implementation of a mini computer at Universidad Nacional del Sur (Bahía Blanca, Argentina) in the first years of 1970’s. The name of the computer was “Mini in Bikini”. The project was done by a group of Electrical Engineering students guided by Prof. Santos. A short review on the political and economic context is presented together with the computer engineering and science development at the moment of the project conception. The technical details of this mini computer are presented together with an emulator developed by Prof. del Castillo many years later.
