Dinámica del uso de suelo en el Valle Antinaco Los Colorados

Abstract

The objective of this work was to spatially and temporally characterize the dynamics of agriculturalization in the Antinaco Los Colorados Valley, in the Province of La Rioja, Argentina. A methodology based on photointerpretation of Landsat 2, 5 and 8 images was used, where five moments 1976, 1986, 1996, 2006, and 2018 were analyzed. To evaluate the spatial and temporal dynamics of changes, three types of land cover were classified (agricultural areas, bare soils and natural vegetation) and in order to make more complete assessments of the most significant changes that occurred in the territory, the method uses cross-tabulation matrix analysis at different levels to distinguish those changes resulting from more frequent transitions. The result was a net change in areas of natural vegetation between 1976/1986: 1,400ha, 1986/1996: 3,601ha, 1996/2006: 6,711ha and 2006/2018: 11,795ha; of soil without vegetation between 1976/1986: 1,400ha, 1986/1996: 3,601ha, 1996/2006: 6,711ha and 2006/2018: 11,795ha. 795ha; of soil without vegetation between 1976/1986: 50ha, 1986/1996: 838ha, 1996/2006: 505ha and 2006/2018: 1,128ha and of agricultural land between 1976/1986: 1,350ha, 1986/1996: 2,760ha, 1996/2006: 6,206ha and 2006/2018: 10,623ha. It can be concluded that the item with the greatest losses is "Areas with natural vegetation", which shows a constant decrease in surface area compared to the other two categories.
