Ecuador is in a process of digital transformation at the national level, reflected in its government’s policy: Ecuador Digital, whose objective is to transform and direct the country towards digital transformation. The 2022-2031 Ten-Year Health Plan aims to guarantee access to Integrated, people-centered and quality health services, with an emphasis on primary healthcare networks, with efficient and transparent management models. However, despite the advances that the country has had in the digital transformation in health, there are still challenges such as: digital governance, interoperability - Electronic Health Records, infrastructure, and change management in the transformation of the leaders of the digital health transformation ecosystem that requires attention and an urgent intervention.
