This paper presents the general guidelines and experiences collected in a one of the last courses of Computer Engineering at the National University of La Plata: Taller de Proyecto II (Project Workshop II). This course integrates much of the knowledge acquired in previous courses, and students have direct contact with a complete project "from end to end" in an environment that is intended to be more similar to the production environment in industries. Throughout the course, there is direct contact with parts of hardware, communication systems/protocols and software development (not only referring to the programming necessary for the operation of hardware and communications, but also to other aspects such as real-time computing and user interface details). From the point of view of the students' activities, an environment similar to that of a user or company that determines the requirements of the project is proposed. This without leaving aside the teaching task or the environment of a undergraduate university course, in which students have access to explanations and acquisition of knowledge and skills based on the tasks they must solve.
