The objective of this paper is to test a proposal for the periodization of the coalitions of Argentine informatics actors between 1955-1990. To do this, it makes a first, exploratory approximation of a historical analysis based on the use of secondary sources and data. It is an exercise motivated, mainly, by the ordering of the available information and by the construction of an innovative view regarding the works that have analyzed the history of Argentine computing. By combining theoretical and methodological approaches from Political Science, History and Social Studies of Science and Technology, it hopes to contribute to the understanding of the historical trajectory of the scientific-technological field in question in order to subsequently reach explanations about its evolution based on in the analysis of the conformation, mutation and behavior of their coalitions. This document is carried out within the framework of the Doctoral thesis in History at the Torcuato Di Tella University and with the support of a CONICET Doctoral Scholarship.
