Abstract

The main objective of this work is to apply metdologi@egov (evaluation methodology of the properties and attributes of electronic government sites) to evaluate websites of three provincial governments of the Argentine Republic. The aforementioned methodology, which was opportunely developed by the author of this work, uses a set of attributes for the domain-specific Functionality characteristic, based on the ISO 25010 Model, which allows the evaluation of any Electronic Government website that wants to be developed or that is in production. In other words, it proposes a minimum number of services that a website of a public institution belonging to any State power and jurisdiction should contain.

The evaluation allows us to see the degree of progress of the three selected provinces in the services to be provided to the citizen referring to: 1. General Administration and transversal applications, 2. Public Services and Finance, 3. Work and social security, 4. Personal and family documentation, 5. Security, 6. Tourism, 7. Education and Culture, 8. Health, 9. Social Development and 10. Public Works and Services.

On the other hand, comparative tables are provided as well as tables on the values obtained in the measurements made, depending on the proposed model.

Finally, recommendations and conclusions are made to take into account to strengthen the evaluated sites, in terms of the specific functionality of the electronic government domain
