The impact of scenario clustering on a non-deterministic optimization model for production and distribution planning

In this paper, two classic clustering techniques are analyzed on a set of scenarios that were used in a production and distribution optimization problem with nondeterministic characteristics. These scenarios were generated using a procedure that combines the Monte Carlo method with a diusion process. The results are analyzed using representative scenarios from each group generated with the optimization performed using the ungrouped scenarios.
