El Galpón: a multiplatform application for agricultural stock management

Abstract

Common methods of input management range from off-the-shelf software for personal computers to handwritten notes, without any digitization of the process. This work proposes an original mobile-oriented application for managing agricultural supplies, motivated by the great diversity of inventory methodologies used by small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises, which, in particular, lack digitization systems. The focus of the application’s design emphasizes functional minimalism, highlighting the inventory of empty containers and notifications for insufficient stock and products nearing expiration as its main features. Following the line of development published in previous articles, all the requirements and functional characteristics for the implementation of the proposed software are detailed.
