Abstract

This proposal presents the development of a trivia game and video game for the prevention of child sexual abuse. In the Province of Buenos Aires, 4,867 cases of alleged sexual abuse against children and adolescents are recorded in 2017. Meanwhile, at the national level, according to data collected by the 137 hotline — the reporting line for sexual violence against children and adolescents — most of the victims attended suffered "sexual touching or attempted sexual contact" (27.9%), "rape or attempted sexual contact" (20.5%), or "grooming" (20%). Given such alarming data, it is necessary to develop prevention and awareness-raising actions regarding this issue. The project is presented as a way of responding to this situation. For this purpose, students and professors from the School of Computer Technology in collaboration with the School of Psychology are called to develop both games.
