Abstract

This work presents a comprehensive mathematical model of the functionalization of polypropylene via copolymerization with 11-bromo-1- undecene using a homogeneous metallocene catalyst. The model results in a large system of equations, demanding efficient computation. To address this, the model is implemented in Julia, an open-source language characterized by highperformance numerical analysis capabilities and native support for parallel programming, which facilitates optimizing memory usage and CPU time.
