■ Aims and scope
The SADIO Electronic Journal of Informatics and Operations Research (EJS) is a scientific open access publication, edited by the Argentinian Society of Information Technology and Operations Research (SADIO).
EJS helps in the dissemination of the best scientific research papers presented annually at the Argentinian Conference on Information Technology (JAIIO), besides other venues at the national and international level. EJS aims to serve as a liaison among the national and latinoamerican research communities in the field, as a vehicle of knowledge, communication and continuous training for all professionals, both in academia and industry.
To publish in EJS, articles must:
- be unpublished material and not submitted for publication elsewhere;
- make a contribution in the areas of interest of the journal;
- follow a clear methodology and contain a consistent data analysis;
- include a discussion on the concept or technique related to the state-of-the-art which may improve the reader’s knowledge;
- contain relevant and updated bibliographic references in its research topic.
Articles not complying with the above policies will not be accepted for evaluation.
■ Publication Frequency
SADIO Electronic Journal of Informatics and Operations Research (EJS) presents two regular issues a year, in April and in October. In addition, special unscheduled issues are sometimes published.
■ SECTIONS policies
Scientific articles includes:
- Articles that describe the results of scientific research and that make an original contribution to general or regional knowledge. This type of article seeks to discuss a hypothesis or make, from a theoretical point of view, a novel contribution to the subject.
- Articles that develop a new technique or methodology whose application is relevant to the development of computer science.
- Articles that summarize the current state of knowledge on a topic, providing observations and novel conclusions based on the data surveyed.
■ Evaluation / Peer review process
Submitted articles complying with the policies stated above will be evaluated at first by the journal’s Editorial Committee, who will decide about the qualified reviewers as well as external experts that will perform the academic evaluation of selected articles.
The evaluation will follow a double-blind process, which means the identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, to guarantee the quality of content. In the case of disagreement among reviews, the Editorial Committee will name a new evaluator.
EJS Editorial Committee will verify that submitted articles follow the aims and scope of the journal, the current issue and current policies. Publication of articles will be subject to an evaluation process external to the Editorial Committee, thus guaranteeing anonymity of authors and evaluators. Articles submitted beyond the deadline or those that do not comply with the journal’s policies and guidelines will not be considered for evaluation.
■ Open Access policy
The SADIO Electronic Journal of Informatics and Operations Research sustains its commitment with Open Access policies to scientific information. EJS considers that both scientific publications as well as research works financially supported with public funds must circulate in Internet freely, without restrictions and free of charge. EJS is based in the principle that offering open access to research publications helps to increment global exchange of knowledge, adhering to the recommendations established by the BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative, 2002).
SADIO Electronic Journal of Informatics and Operations Research is a diamond open access publication: it does not charge authors any fees for publishing and offers readers immediate and full access to all its editions without restrictions of any kind.

■ INTEROPERABILITY Protocol
SADIO Electronic Journal of Informatics and Operations Research is published using OJS (Open Journals System) and incorporates the OAI-PMH (Open Archive Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) interoperability protocol in the URL https://revistas.unlp.edu.ar/ejs/oai with the possibility of obtaining different formats for the metadata (rfc1807, nlm, marcxml, oai_marc and oai_dc) by entering the corresponding acronym in the URL as a value for the metadataPrefix parameter.
