It has been observed that currently the participation of women in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is very low, but this has not yet been quantified. In this paper we explore the participation of women in ICTs applied to agriculture through a data set of ten years of the Congress of Agroinformatics (2008-2018). Using this data set, we quantified the participation of women in different roles (authors, reviewers, organizers, moderators, and guest speakers), depending on the institution they belong to and their geographic origin. We found that the average number of female authors is 26%, with the maximum being 36.6%. The proportion of women participating as first authors in the works never exceeded 35% in all the years analyzed. The participation of women was consistently lower in all years of the congress and for all roles, these findings being consistent with similar studies of other events and disciplines. INTA and CONICET are the institutions that contribute the most to the congress in terms of works and participants of both genders and the Pampas region presents this role in terms of geographic focus. Actions to increase female participation have given results for those roles that the organization can control (such as scientific committees, organizers, and speakers), but it is still necessary to work on the role of authors.
