First Communication Network of the Province of Buenos Aires using TCPIP and LINUX
Keywords:
APB, TCP/IP, SNAAbstract
At the beginning of the 90's, the province of Buenos Aires installed the first communication network based on the TCP / IP network architecture with open source software to communicate the public bodies of the Buenos Aires Public Administration and by then, the 124 municipalities. In this work we present the challenge that at the time was to migrate from a proprietary network architecture, such as SNA, to a new and open one (TCP / IP) that later became the de facto standard for world communications.
