Exploration of the place of Computer Science knowledge areas in the Argentine Secondary School: A Systematic Review

This study presents a systematic review of the current curricular designs for the Argentine Secondary School in order to improve understanding of Computer Science national curricular map in the field of education. It is aimed to identify the similarity of different curricular paradigms, emphasizing those that promote the integration of fundamental concepts of the discipline. In the beginning, a compilation of current curricular designs was made in each jurisdiction. It resulted in a compilation of 22 curricular proposals. The adopted paradigm for the selection of content and the position of computing in the curriculum was analyzed in each case. The review shows the preponderance of integrated models and the low participation of Computer Science in the curricular proposals.
