Abstract. The national budget is a very important instrument for the full implementation of public policies. The public sector participates as a buyer in the acquisition of goods, services and public works and has the difficulty of recurring delays in payments to suppliers. The public administration interacts with private companies in pursuit of a good execution of public policies. The incorporation of technology holds the potential capacity to improve the interactions of the public sector with companies and other public entities. For this reason, a digital tool was implemented in the field of public administration called the "Distance Procedures" Platform (TAD) which resulted in a substantial decrease in the processing times of payments to suppliers of goods and services, and allowed to systematize the information in such a way that it can be accessed for decision making
