Abstract

In this paper, we present the general guidelines of a didactic methodology incorporating Artificial Generative Intelligence (AGI) to teach computer science in STEAM careers that are not directly related to programming. It includes using a "personalized AI-based tutor" to solve practical activities related to four case studies linked to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The proposed activities apply the workshop pedagogical modality, with the objective that each student programs and validates his one-dimensional code of Finite Volumes to solve simple transport problems. To this end, we summarize the re-elaboration of the pedagogical proposal, including the use of chatGPT as a tool that assists students in the generation of the base code. Based on the potentialities and limits observed in this instance of rethinking, we present some general reflections regarding the possibilities of effective integration of these technologies as a programming assistant in this context.
