Abstract

In today's world, where data has become one of the most valuable as-sets for organizations, and in the context of technological advancements and pro-cess digitalization, Big Data (BD) has emerged as a key factor influencing the consumer goods industry. This Systematic Mapping of the Literature (SML) ex-amines the impact and significance of BD practices and concepts in the core areas of the consumer goods sector. The objectives of this SML align with the research questions posed, aiming to analyze and synthesize the available literature to iden-tify the benefits, challenges, key areas, and techniques associated with the use of BD in this industry. Through a systematic review, the study details data sources, quality criteria, and the methodology used for data extraction, providing a solid methodological foundation. The results highlight emerging patterns, trends in the reviewed literature, and any quantitative data obtained from the analysis. The conclusions present the benefits, challenges, and practical and theoretical impli-cations of the findings, proposing future applications of the results and suggesting potential research directions. This SML contributes to the current state of knowledge and identifies areas requiring further investigation, offering a guide for future studies.
