Abstract

Based on a bioeconomic model of meat production companies completed in 2004, progress was made with interdisciplinary and interinstitutional work to convert it to a web system (Simugan). The dynamic model allows simulating from days to years and exploring alternative management of agricultural and livestock companies, reporting productive, economic and greenhouse gas results. Different technological improvements made during the process for better performance are summarized. Additionally, potential opportunities for applications and improvements are described within the framework of the Internet of Things paradigm.
