Artificial intelligences (AI) are generating deep changes in our societies. Its regulation has become one of the most relevant issues of political-technological agendas at national and international level. In 2024 a peak of interest on AI by the United Nations Organization (UN) was noticed. Specifically, its General Assembly adopted two resolutions on AI. In the first instance, the Resolution 78/265 “Seizing the opportunities of safe, secure and trustworthy artificial intelligence systems for sustainable development” and, secondly, the Resolution 78/311 “Enhancing international cooperation on capacity-building of artificial intelligence". This article seeks to answer, among other questions, what are the most relevant points of these new international regulations on AI? What do they propose when protecting human rights, avoiding new technological gaps or promoting international cooperation? The most relevant points of both resolutions are described and analyzed below. The article is part of a greater investigation on policies and regulations of AI at the international level.
