Arancel óptimo bajo competencia imperfecta (una aplicación a la industria del papel)

Abstract

The partial equilibrium model developed here discusses the effects of comercial policy under conditions of imperfect competition in the domestic sector. This model shows that the optimal policy -in a second-best setting- depends on the welfare function used. Through a simulation exercise for the paper industry we can see the working of the model in the case of quasi-closed economy, like Argentina.
