Medidas alternativas de la pobreza por ingresos para el Gran Buenos Aires, 1980-1995
Abstract
This paper presents the theoretic description and the estimation for Gan Buenos Aires, between 1980-1995, of a group of poberty indicators (Sen´s index, Pyatt´s index and FGT´s index) which incorporates inequality among poor people as one of the main components of the poverty indicator. By inoporating this effect it is possible to identify problems related to poverty which could not be perceived with the official poverty indicator (head count radio) or the poverty gap index.
