Abstract

The technology variable is analyzed from the systemic point of view. At the same time we introduce the notions of consistency, sustentability and multidimensional assessment. In the first case we use a set of interrelated indicators for the static and dynamics levels of the evaluation. In the second case the narrow approach of the unidimensional analysis (economic) is overcome to access to the multidimensional level of assessment: ethical-political, institutional, economical, financial, social, urban-regional, natural-resources and ecological. From what we have mentioned above we develop a qualitative and quantitative procedure that points out the strategic role of technology in the decision making process of innovation investments.
