Asignación de recursos y exportaciones no tradicionales: una evaluación

Abstract

We try evaluate the efficiency in producing non traditional exportable goods depending on internal resources; to analyze the incidence of export promotion schemes on the economy as a whole, and to present alternatives to improve those schemes to obtain an optimal allocation of resources. In the first section we present the analytical considerations implicit in the estimation of effective rates of protection, and in the following we explain the results obtained for 34 manufactured products, based on costs and the tax and tariff systems existing in Argentina in 1968.
