Anatomy and its destinations

Abstract

Starting from the negation of Freud’s famous phrase “anatomy is destiny”, the author addresses the question of the proliferation of genres from a psychoanalytic perspective, considering both Lacan’s re-reading of the phallic term and the distinction Of pleasure, to conclude: female enjoyment is not a genre.
