The phrase “Señorita Maestra” in this work is taken as a metaphor summarizing the sense of the role women have played at different times in the social organization requested by the State and the Church. Although its meaning has changed through history, its sense has remained the same, according to Lacanian perspective, since it represents an “extraterritorial” escape through which the main social exchanges are avoided. The Church called women for marriage engagement with God to save humanity. Likewise, in the nineteenth century, Enlightenment pedagogy asked young women to teach if they were willing to take part in “other” salvation plan.
