Estrategias de rehabilitación urbana en un escenario de ola de calor en Málaga (España)

Resumen

Este estudio evalúa cómo las estrategias de rehabilitación pueden mejorar el confort exterior en un barrio de Málaga disminuyendo la temperatura radiante durante una ola de calor. El enfoque integra la modelización energética urbana con estrategias de diseño que incluyen aumentar la reflectancia solar de techos y superficies urbanas ampliando los espacios verdes y la cobertura arbórea. Los resultados muestran una reducción en el Índice Universal de Confort Térmico (IUCT) de 0,62°C y una disminución en la Temperatura Media Radiante (TMR) de 2,58°C en siete puntos a nivel peatonal en diferentes cañones urbanos. El IUCT disminuye entre 2,45°C y 4,86°C bajo la cobertura arbórea, con mayores reducciones en cañones más estrechos. Estos hallazgos proporcionan datos valiosos para que actores involucrados, diseñadores, planificadores y responsables de políticas tomen decisiones informadas sobre cómo mitigar el sobrecalentamiento y la isla de calor urbana en ciudades con climas y configuraciones urbanas similares.
