Editorial
Abstract
It is a great joy for us to write this editorial. This first issue of the journal of the Inter-American Society for Astronomy in Culture is a very important milestone on the path that we have been traveling since 2003, and particularly since the consolidation of our society in 2013. This year 2020, the special circumstances of the pandemic of COVID-19 has forced us to postpone until 2021 the holding of the VIII Conference and IX Inter-American School of Cultural Astronomy of La Plata in combination, for the first time, with the Oxford Conference -the world's most important cultural astronomy event-. It is in this context of creating networks throughout the Americas, strengthening the quality of our work, generating exchanges, building joint projects and working for the training of young researchers, that the creation of this magazine is framed.
