Acerca del uso de la reforma monetaria internacional en beneficio de los países en desarrollo

Abstract

This article concerns itself with the possibility and legitimacy of integrating the solutions of two international economic problems. The first is that of international monetary reform and the second is that of increasing the flow of financial resources to developing countries. Three possible reforms are discussed: first, the SDR aid link, second, reserve currency substitution and third, gold demonetization. It is concluded that the equity of the international financial system could be substantially improved by such measures without imposing significant costs on the efficiency with which the system operates.
