In first place the issue deals with the quantitative evolution of the city and district's population by means of census, their qualitative changes and the immigrant's communities there living still exist. A brief analysis of the social affairs shows the workmanship characteristic employed in building La Plata and the further labor market organization. The specific economic aspects embody the studies of La Plata Harbour, one of the decisive elements en choice of Buenos Aires's capital location; the need of entailing the new town with the capital city lead to the analysis of the transport system. References are given about La Plata's industrial and commercial activities –closely connected with the local economic evolution-conclude this worthy synopsis.
