Abstract

Volume 22, Number 2 of the Journal of Habitat Studies presents a series of six articles and two bibliographic reviews prepared by specialists from different backgrounds and institutional affiliations - National University of San Juan, National University of Rosario, National University of Tucumán, National University of Comahue, Undersecretary of Planning and Urban Development of the Municipality of Centenario de Neuquén, University of Buenos Aires, National University of Lanús and our National University of La Plata. The works reveal different disciplinary visions linked to the study of human habitat that refer to the project, urban planning, communication, basic sciences and the history of architecture. In this sense, they bring us closer to inquiries about the conditions of habitability in relation to school activities in terms of lighting and acoustic comfort as well as the acoustic envelope of homes located in high-rise buildings; to the improvement of the habitat of informal settlements and, on the other hand, to the living conditions and public policies linked to urban streams and their banks; to the project of toilets and changing rooms with a gender perspective and to spatial syntax as a tool for the interpretation of urban spaces related to the railway environment.
