Abstract

In this article, we will analyze Bill #27,499 known as “Mandatory Gender Education Bill for persons acting in the three powers of State” “Ley de capacitación obligatoria en género para todas las personas que integran los tres poderes del Estado” (nro. 27.499), enforced in 2018 by the Argentine Congress. The purpose of this Bill is to educate and sensitize employees working in all levels and hierarchies of the public function about gender and violence against women. The main objective is the prevention and eradication of gender violence, inequalities and discrimination. Specifically, the study will be carried out considering as a guide for public policies the elements set forth by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
