Abstract

The present work will address, on one hand, the necessary linkage of the urban problematic with the environmental one, and then emphasis will be placed on the right of citizens to participate actively and in a coordinated way in public decisions, with special attention to those related with urban planning, according to the international and constitutional parameters currently in force; To see how the referenced concepts interact, demonstrating the need that exists in every Rule of Law to think and plan sustainable cities based on a real citizen participation that allows us to achieve what we will call a Democratic and Sustainable Management of the City.
