Abstract

This dossier aims at making the sexual violence suffered by millions of refugees, displaced locals and people in transit on the hands of state and non-state agents visible. The reasons underlying human mobility are many-fold and, on the odyssey caused by forced displacement, people become victims of human rights violations, sexual violence crimes or transnational organized crimes. Added to this is the fact that those in charge of protecting them are usually their victimizers, which makes it harder for reports on this to become visible. This dossier constitutes just a small sample of the thousands of current cases and intends to foreground this issue.
