Brief history

The RAAB arose from the motivation of Biological Anthropology professionals in Argentina to record and share the knowledge generated in new lines of local research. The journal has been published continuously since 1996. In the beginning, it had a variable periodicity, and since 2014, it has been published biannually. As of 2011, the RAAB is found digitally on the UNLP Journal Portal and in the SEDICI Repository. Although from its beginnings the journal was published in printed format, since 2015 it has become completely digital, being published in both formats, printed and digital, between the years 2011 to 2015. Starting in 2024, the articles are published under the modality of continuous publication, maintaining the same periodicity in the publication of the numbers. The RAAB was founded and directed by Héctor Pucciarelli and Francisco Raúl Carnese (1996-2014), and later directed by Marina Sardi and Graciela Baillet (2014-2022).
