Abstract

This presentation addresses the open science movement as a response to the replication crisis. In this context, it describes certain questionable practices that increase the rate of false positive results. Additionally, it introduces several open science initiatives aimed at improving transparency, rigor, and reproducibility in research. Finally, it highlights that open science is being rapidly adopted and promotes the quality of scientific knowledge.

Antonio Laguna-Camacho, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México, México

Es académico en UAEMéx, apoyado por Conacyt. Es licenciado en nutrición (UAEMéx) y tiene un posgrado en psicología (Bham UK). Desarrolla un programa de hábitos para bajar peso, elevar bienestar y cuidar naturaleza, fundó un laboratorio de conducta alimentaria donde se realiza investigación de frontera e inició una unidad de ciencia abierta para mejorar prácticas de investigación en la región. Todas estas iniciativas involucran estudiantes/colaboradores y público general.
