Through this presentation I seek to familiarize, specifically undergraduate students, with open science. My experience focuses on sharing data, code and materials as an essential part of research. I begin by discussing how I discovered open science by chance and how I subsequently found valuable resources that highlight its importance. In addition, resources are included to facilitate the promotion of transparency and verification of results. It concludes by emphasizing the idea that while adopting open science practices may seem daunting, it is possible to start small. I hope to inspire others and contribute to a more transparent and collaborative scientific community.
