Abstract

Plantearnos el problema del número es de interés por la importancia que juega dentro de la matemática al ser su elemento básico, como por la significación, que día a día esta disciplina adquiere en el mundo actual. Llevados por este interés trataremos de precisar que es el numero, que contenido encierra; cual es su génesis; cuál es su desarrollo; cuando se alcanza su noción; si realmente es alga que se construye, como se realiza ese proceso de construcción estructural; que nociones implica desde un punto de vista matemático; que principios pedagógicos y medios facilitan su adquisición. Trataremos de estudiar el proceso de su formación tanto desde el punto de vista de las posibilidades psicológicas que el niño ofrece como de los elementos que el medio brinda.
