In this brief introduction we present the dossier that was proposed as a space to think and debate about the concept of sexual difference within psychoanalysis, the articulation between psychoanalysis and gender theories and the consequences of the sanction of the law on gender identity. As psychoanalysts, we are challenged by the tools with which, from the beginning, we approach the disharmony between parlêtre and sex. In this sense, we outline some ideas to contextualize psychoanalysis as a formalization of a praxis in continuous revision according to the features of the epoch and in dialogue with other disciplines - but without losing its compass, which is the clinic. Finally, we briefly introduce the four articles that make up this dossier. These very different articles fulfil the main objective of the dossier by including a diversity of views.
