Sensibilidade dos cuidadores e segurança do apego em pré-escolares equatorianos com ASD

Resumo

O objetivo do presente estudo foi explorar a associação da segurança do apego de um grupo de crianças pré-escolares com transtorno do espectro do autismo (TEA) leve a moderado com a sensibilidade de seus cuidadores. Participaram 25 díades de nível socioeconômico médio, residentes em Quito, Equador, cujos resultados foram comparados com os de um grupo de desenvolvimento típico com características sociodemográficas semelhantes, de um estudo anterior. Os instrumentos utilizados foram o Attachment Q-set (AQS) e o Maternal Behavior for Preschool Q-set (MBPQS) adaptado para a população típica e com TEA do Equador. Os resultados mostraram que entre os dois grupos houve diferenças significativas na segurança das crianças, mas não na sensibilidade de seus cuidadores. Além disso, correlações estatisticamente significativas entre sensibilidade e segurança foram encontradas no grupo com TEA, bem como um valor preditivo significativo de sensibilidade na segurança. As descobertas são discutidas.
