Abstract

This review describes the first edition of FESTIVAR, a cultural projects with social impact’s virtual festival. FESTIVAR proposed a journey through different artistic languages such as music, dance, theater, cinema, literature, performance and visual arts; inviting to participate territorial referents, community organizations, cultural groups, civil associations, researchers, students, artists and cultural workers, whose work is crossed by social themes. The activities were organized around four main axes: Gender and diversities; Public Policies and Community Cultural Development; Art and Health; Management of cultural projects with social impact. More than 100 hours of virtual activities were developed during april and may2021. Interviews, talks, workshops, clinics, streaming of shows, discussion days, gathered students, teachers and researchers of arts, cultural management, communication and culture; artists and cultural workers, members of artistic-community organizations, public officials and / or workers, artists, from the country and from Latin-American countries such as Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay and Paraguay. Information is shared regarding the impact of the festival's proposal and its projections for 2022.
