Medidas de desigualdad en la distribución del ingreso: algunos ejercicios de aplicación
Abstract
This paper provides a comparison between the statistical measures of inequality in income distribution and the measures based on a social welfare function which allows for the explicit incorporation of alternative valoration judgements. The scope of comparison is Latin America in the sixties and seventies. The same social welfare function serves for the assessment of the growth-distribution trade off in Argentina over the period 1963-1980.
