La inversión en el proceso de crecimiento económico argentino 1950-1980
Abstract
The unsatisfactory growth performance of the Argentine economy alter the Second World War cannot be explained by means of insufficient rates of capital formation. In fact those rates reached acceptable levels similar to those prevailing in the modern industrial economies. An explanation for such disappointing performance could be better attributed to factors associated with the productivity of investments. Investments were not aimed at any particular development of the industrial sector. They were mainly allocated in constructions and in services. In these sectors the long run productivity growth was under the overall economy average and it was considerably less than that of the industrial sector.
