Abstract

We believe that the narrative genre of reasoned fiction can inspire a Role-Playing Game (RPG) system by adapting its characteristic elements. Borgesian literature would provide both game masters and players an experience which maintains the interest in his stories of labyrinths, libraries, eternities, and infinities. We aim to show advances in the development of the RPG, for which we have selected various characters and settings from Borges's imaginary. We have focused on stories featuring protagonists who possess a fateful gift, a paradox, a universal enigma, or any phenomenon conceivable only in terms of fantasy literature.
