Play to communicate: Games as a linguistic project in secondary school

Abstract

The incorporation of games in the subject Language and text production, in the acquisition of a first or second language, has proved to be a simple and effective tool to learn grammatical concepts such as word classes, syntactic structures, and language varieties. The university, as a space for experimentation, gives us the opportunity to see the positive results of applying games in language classes. Furthermore, many renowned authors have thoroughly researched this learning strategy. In the future, we may be able to consider the Bachillerato de Bellas Artes as a place in which both teachers and students can meet and produce, archive, exchange and experiment games within a learning framework.
