Abstract

As the Bauhaus is a School of Construction, it is necessary to understand that the subject of colour is a resonance in communication, in the transmission of messages. In this sense, somehow, the form had to be associated with color and Johannes Itten understood it. Now, from another point of view, Josef Albers in communion with Kandinsky-, understands that, within an institution like the Bauhaus, it is not so important what is done with color but how it is used. With their theoretical differences, both Itten and Kandisnky agree on the inevitable relationship between colour and form.
